William Cane is the pen name of Michael Christian, an attorney and professor of English at the City University of New York. He has been studying and lecturing about subliminal advertising for thirty years. He helped edit Wilson Bryan Key’s last book on subliminal advertising and was a close friend and colleague of the late Dr. Key, the world’s leading authority on subliminal advertising. Cane has appeared on more than 100 TV and radio programs, including CBS This Morning, The View, and The Today Show.

A highly sought-after speaker on the college lecture circuit, Cane was nominated Speaker of the Year by NACA in 2001.
